Spoken word is an artistic reading or declamation, poetry together with music, a new genre, frequently connected to postmodern culture, monologue and jazz. Klausies. Слушай. Listen. project in the spoken word genre was born in Riga in the end of 2015, on the stage connecting three jazz musicians with rich international experience – Toms Rudzinskis, Andris Buiķis and Rūdolfs Macats, and Aleksandra Line, who writes and reads poetry in Latvian, Russian and English.
The name of the project is a simple invitation to listen – to poetry, music and magic that is born during improvizational multidimensional performances.
